Due to it’s vast areas of implementation, I am going to focus how MSLEM model for Smart Learning Environment can couple with cognitive services to support Metacognitive skills development amongst students.

Components of the Smart Learning Environment (SLE) and Self Regulated Learning (SRL) processes may combine to propose a hybrid model i.e. Metacognitive Smart Learning Environment Model (MSLEM). The model aims to develop metacognitive skills in students based on the self-regulated learning process with the support of the components of the smart learning environment. Where, Metacognitive learning strategies are: goal-setting, planning, rehearsing, self-reflection, help-seeking and assessment which require adaptable, responsive and personalize learning environment.

Thus, the model can be used to provide appropriate support to meet learning style and abilities of diverse learners to provide personalized and inclusive learning experiences to promote better and faster learning process.
